The time frames
The new corporations began full operations on Wednesday 1 July 2009.
This is the day that most employees, assets and liabilities transfered to the new corporations.
Some employees transferred earlier, to prepare the corporations for their operational start. Early transfers took place as critical roles needed to be filled, to ensure existing water and sewerage services were maintained in the respective communities.
