Cradle Mountain Water
Tasmanian Water and Sewerage Corporation (North Western Region) Pty Ltd, trading as Cradle Mountain Water, has been formed as part of the State Government’s reform of the Tasmanian water industry. Two other regional water and sewerage corporations have also being formed, along with a business that will provide common services to all three.
As of 1 July 2009 water and sewerage assets, activities and employees have been transferred to Cradle Mountain Water from these entities:
- Burnie Council
- Central Coast Council
- Circular Head Council
- Devonport Council
- Kentish Council
- King Island Council
- Latrobe Council
- Waratah-Wynyard Council
- West Coast Council.
Cradle Mountain Water will return dividends to its owner councils in the north western and west regions.
