Office of the Tasmanian Economic Regulator
Submission of the Draft Price and Service Plan (1st November 2011)
The Water & Sewerage Industry Act 2009 requires Cradle Mountain Water to submit a proposed Price & Service Plan to the Office of the Tasmanian Economic Regulator (OTTER) detailing the regulated services to be provided, standards and conditions of service provision, revenue requirement and proposed pricing approach. This Plan is the first to be developed by Cradle Mountain Water and it will cover the period from 1st July 2012 until 30th June 2015.
In developing the plan our aim is to balance the competing needs and requirements of Industry regulators and the corporation against the impact on customers through price of services.
Our proposed schedule of tariffs has been developed by determining the operating cost base required to meet minimum service standards combined with the delivery of the capital investment program.
In determining the pricing structure, we have taken into consideration the age and value of our existing assets, the need for upgrades and repairs, the requirements of industry regulators and legislative obligations. We have also considered the need for new infrastructure development over the life of this plan and beyond.
